GTK: Assistant Coach Caleb Dixon

Kearney Wrestling is excited to welcome back Coach Caleb Dixon to the high school staff! Coach Dixon spent 4 years coaching the Kearney Wrestling Program from 2009-2013 where the teams placed 3rd, 3rd, 1st, 1st at the State Tournament, respectively. During his time here, Kearney teams wrestled in The Ironman and The Clash, and were nationally ranked by multiple wrestling news outlets. This will be Coach Dixon's 9th year of coaching wrestling overall.
Coach Dixon was most recently the Head Wrestling Coach at Oak Park High School from 2013-2017. During his 4 years as Head Coach, Oak Park qualified 14 athletes for the state tournament and brought home 6 medals and 5 state finals appearances and had an individual state champion. Oak Park grew in numbers from the high teens to the mid-40s-50s during his 4 years and also increased their dual winning percentage to over 75% his last 3 years. Prior to Oak Park, Coach Dixon was an assistant coach at Kearney High School. While there he was the winner of the Missouri Assistant Coach of the Year Award as well as the District Assistant Coach of the Year Award. He has been a National Team Coach and Junior Duals Team Leader as well as a participant in the Olympic Training Center’s Development Camp.
Coach Dixon graduated from Platte County High School where he was an individual State Champion and 2x state medalist as well as a member of 2 Team State Championships and 4, Top 5 Team finishes. He then wrestled at the University of Central Missouri where he was a multiple time letter winner. He has a wife, Molly, and 3 Children, Harper (5), Cooper (3), and Wren (6 mo.)
