State Champions!

The Kearney Wrestling team traveled to Mizzou Arena this past weekend to compete in the MSHSAA Class 3 State Championships. The Bulldogs got out to a narrow lead over 5x returning state champs Neosho in the team race and never looked back finishing as the Class 3 Team Champions with a program high 9 individual state medals!

106- Garrett Deason (9) 4th Place

113- James Freitag (11) 4th Place

120- Clay Singh (12) Champion (Clay is now the 27th wrestler in MSHSAA history to be a 4X State Champ!)

132- Devan Lewis (10) 3rd Place

138- Caden Green (10) 5th Place

145- Coby Aebersold (10) 2nd Place

160- Ethan Locke (12) 3rd Place

170- Matthew Witthar (11) 4th Place

195- Chopper Mordecai (11) 2nd Place

The Kearney Wrestling Varsity team finishes the season 14-2 in duals with a Conference Championship, District Championship, and a State Championship!
