GTK: Assistant Coach Austin Lindsay

Kearney Wrestling is excited to welcome Coach Austin Lindsay to the high school staff! Coach Lindsay is entering his 6th year of coaching high school wrestling. He spent 5 years coaching Battle High school in Columbia, Missouri while attending the University of Missouri.

Coach Lindsay graduated from Brookfield High School where he was a varsity athlete in football and wrestling. He finished his wrestling career with a record of 179-2 and 4 state championships, winning one each year in a different weight class. He helped his squad to 4 district titles, and to a team state title in 2007, while also guiding them to runner-up finishes in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He was a 4x District Champ, 2x District Wrestler of the Year, State Wrestler of the Year, and was also a 4x Academic All-State selection. He also earned Academic All-American honors after graduating with a 3.9 cumulative grade point average. Following High School, he wrestled for the University of Missouri for 3 years.

Coach Lindsay received his Bachelors in Health Science from the University of Missouri in 2013. He then earned his doctorate in Pharmacy from The University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2019.
