GTK: Assistant Coach Brett Williams

Now that it's official Kearney Wrestling is excited to announce the addition of Coach Brett Williams to the High School staff for the 2021-2022 season! Coach Williams has successfully coached wrestling at the college, high school, and youth levels. He most recently was the Head Girls Wrestling Coach at North Kansas City High School and currently serves as a Missouri Women's RTC Coach during the Spring. Coach Williams was previously the head youth coach for the Della Lamb Wrestling Club for over 10 years. Coach Williams will be working along side Head Girls Coach Nick Ward to continue to grow the sport of girls wrestling here at Kearney High School!

Coach Williams graduated from Oak Park High School where he was a 3x Missouri State Champion for the Northmen and was inducted into the Oak Park Wrestling Hall of Fame. Following high school, he went on to be a NAIA National Champion for Lindenwood University. In Freestyle & Greco, Coach Williams was a multiple time state champion, a Cadet World Trials Champion, and placed 3rd at the Cadet World Championships.
